Gildernew attends the Belfast Taste & Music Fest

Minister Michelle Gildernew MP, MLA has attended the first day of the Belfast Taste & Music Fest in the Botanic Gardens, Belfast.

The event features some well known local Chefs and Ambassador Chefs from Chicago, who are celebrating the great local produce by creating a range of dishes in a wide variety of cuisines.

Speaking at the event, the Minister said: “Over the next four days of this Taste and Music Fest, the best locally produced ingredients will be used to create a variety of dishes that will promote our quality produce and wholesome food both at home and in Chicago.

“I hope it can be a platform for reciprocal culinary events, new trading opportunities for food products, tourism and other commercial activities that will benefit and strengthen our economy. It’s great to see so much local talent on display at this year’s event and the variety of dishes available illustrates the reputation our food has around the globe.”
