~ Thursday, 11 November 2010
Discussing the current tranche two application process, the Minister said: "This time round we have had a much smoother running application system with no queues. To date we have received 1,056 applications, with 924 of them online. This statistic alone has vindicated my decision to allocate additional points for those who submitted their FMP application online.
"With just over two weeks left, I want to urge anyone who is considering applying to get their application underway as soon as possible. They should ensure that they have all the correct information available in order to complete every question in the application form. For those who may need assistance Countryside Agri-Rural Partnership have a helpline in place on telephone number 0845 0267 535."
The Minister concluded: "I have high hopes for tranche two of the Farm Modernisation and want to see as many eligible applicants as possible get their applications in on time. The deadline is now fast approaching with the application period now reaching its halfway stage, the final date for submitting applications is of course 4.00pm on 26 November."
