Membership of Education and Library Boards

Selection and appointment processes are underway to appoint members to the Belfast, North Eastern, Southern and Western Education and Library Boards during the transitional period up to the establishment of the Education and Skills Authority.

Until these transitional arrangements have been put in place, the Education Minister, Caitríona Ruane, has agreed to extend the terms of office of some existing members in each of the four Boards. These can be viewed by accessing the Department of Education website.

The extensions have been agreed with the Commissioner for Public Appointments.
