New Chief Executive for North West Regeneration Company
Thursday, 25 June 2009Dr Aideen McGinley, Permanent Secretary at the Department for Employment and Learning, is set to leave the Department and become the new Chief Executive Officer at North West regeneration company Ilex.
Thanking Dr McGinley for her contribution to the work of the Department, the Minister Sir Reg Empey, said: “Over the past number of years Dr McGinley has led my Department with commitment, skill and ability in an often changing and difficult economic environment. She has provided me with sterling support during my tenure and I know that she will demonstrate the same high level of drive and determination in her work with Ilex.
“The North West faces significant challenges and I believe that the experience she gained during her leadership of my Department, and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure, will prove invaluable as she steers Ilex through this difficult economic period. It is a fresh challenge that I know she will manage ably and I and the staff of the Department, wish her well for the future.”
