Careers information provided for Armed Forces

Saturday, 27 June 2009

Today on Armed Forces Day, Employment Minister, Sir Reg Empey, outlined how his Department can help those considering entering, or leaving, the service

Sir Reg said: “My Department’s Careers Advisors provide free impartial information, advice and guidance to assist young people and adults to make effective career decisions. This includes those who are considering entering the armed forces or current Service Personnel who may be considering their future career options.

“Job opportunities in the forces and other professions can be found at Job Centres and Jobs and Benefits offices throughout Northern Ireland. I would encourage anyone with an interest in this line of work to contact their local office or visit the website. There are many interesting and varied jobs in the armed forces and the training provided will be of great benefit, both now and in the future.”
