Workplace 2010 announces latest outcome on procurement

Workplace 2010 announced today the outcome of the latest stage in the procurement of the PFI contract for the Northern Ireland Civil Service office estate.

Four bidders - Land Securities Trillium, Mapeley, Partenaire (a Belfast-based company backed by McAleer and Rushe, Interserve Investments and Monaspire) and Telereal - submitted bids on the Workplace 2010 contract in November 2006.

Following evaluation of the bids, Workplace 2010 is pleased to announce Land Securities Trillium and Telereal as the two successful bidders from the Invitation to Negotiate stage. The programme is now finalising requirements for Best and Final Offers.

The new devolved administration, which is due to be in place from 8 May 2007, will take final decisions on the scope and content of the contract before invitations to the two bidders are issued.
