McGimpsey welcomes full settlement of claim against solicitors

Full settlement of claims brought against Brangam Bagnall & Co Solicitors in respect of allegations of professional negligence were agreed in the High Court today.

The Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety, along with other relevant health bodies, brought the case against the firm.

The Minister said: “I am pleased that this action to recover the losses to the health service has been brought to a successful conclusion. The money recovered from Brangam Bagnall & Co Solicitors will be used in the provision of front line patient services.”

  1. The settlement agreement between the relevant parties was ratified by the Commercial Judge at the High Court on 28 April 2008. The total claim is £277,653.
