Northern Ireland health service costs published
Friday, 4 May 2007Costs for a range of hospital and community services for Health and Personal Social Services in 2005/06 have just been published.
This is the fifth year of this publication, which identifies average costs for health services across Northern Ireland. These costs have been published on the Department of Health’s website at: www.dhsspsni.gov.uk/index/publications
The costs are calculated annually by each Trust and reflect the average unit cost for each organisation for a particular year. It is intended that the range of services included within the Reference Costs publication will continue to be refined and expanded each year.
Notes to Editors:
- Copies of the Reference Costs are available on the Department’s website at www.dhsspsni.gov.uk/index/publications
- The publication includes an HPSS Schedule of Reference Costs showing the average, highest and lowest unit costs for each relevant service or grouping; a Trust database showing the average unit cost of individual services for each Trust; and an overall index of Trust acute service performance in unit cost terms.
