Derrylin man fined £5,000 for a planning offence

A Co Fermanagh man was fined £5,000 plus costs at Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court on the 14 April 2010 for failing to comply with a Planning Service Enforcement Notice.

Mr Adrian McCaffrey of Oakvale, Derrylin, failed to cease the use of land and premises adjacent to Mountview Inn, Main Street, Derrylin, as a store and car park hire business (equipment and vehicles), within 28 days from the date the Enforcement Notice took effect.

The Planning Service brought the action under Article 67A(1)(a) of the Planning (NI) Order 1991, namely carrying out development without the planning permission required.
