Londonderry man fined £500 for unauthorised advertisement

A Co Londonderry man was today fined £500, court costs of £70 and legal costs of £19, at Londonderry Magistrates' Court for displaying an unauthorised advertisement.

Mr Declan Harley of Abercorn Road, Londonderry was charged with the unauthorised advertisement of his business, Citi Memorials at 33b Abercorn Road, Londonderry.

Planning Service brought the charges under Article 84 of the Planning (NI) Order 1991, which states it is an offence to display an advertisement without consent.
