Kilkeel man fined for planning offence

A Co Down man was fined a total of £400 plus £86 court costs for a planning offence.

Mr Brian Murphy, Ballymageough Road, Kilkeel, pleaded guilty at Newry Magistrates' Court on 1 December 2008 to non compliance with a Planning Enforcement Notice.

The enforcement notice sought the demolition of the unauthorised building at lands approximately 280metres north north-west of 68 Glenloughan Road, Tullyframe, Kilkeel, and the removal of all associated rubble from its demolition.

The Planning Service brought action under Article 72 of the Planning (NI) Order 1991 (as amended).
