Londonderry man fined £150 for unauthorised signage

A County Londonderry man was today fined £150 plus £70 court costs and £28 legal costs at Londonderry Magistrates' Court.

Mr Martin Tierney of Folly Cabs, Lecky Road, Londonderry was charged in relation to the unauthorised display of an advertisement at the bottom of St Columba's Walk, Londonderry.

Planning Service brought about the charges under Article 84 of the Planning (NI) Order 1991 (as amended), which states it is an offence to display an advertisement without consent.
