Co Antrim woman fined £250 for waste offence
Friday, 6 March 2009A Larne woman was today fined a total of £250 and court costs of £28 at Larne Magistrates’ Court for a breach of waste management legislation.
Eleanor Drummond of Castletown Road, Larne, pleaded guilty to one breach of waste management legislation, for keeping controlled waste on her land.

1. The charges related to a breach of Article 4(1)(b) of the Waste & Contaminated Land (Northern Ireland) Order 1997, i.e. to treat, keep or dispose of controlled waste, or knowingly cause or knowingly permit controlled waste to be treated, kept or disposed of
(i) in or on any land, or (ii)by means of any mobile plant
except under and in accordance with a waste management licence.
