Donemana man fined £600 for planning breach

A Donemana man was fined £600 plus £85 costs at Strabane Magistrates Court today for failing to comply with conditions relating to an approved application.

Niall McElhinney of Lisnaragh Road, Donemana, was convicted for not complying with an Enforcement Notice which required him to:

  • remove vertical hung tiles on three dormers  and replace with rendered finish painted heritage white;
  • remove the manufacturing stone effect to the front elevation (excluding the door porch) replace with smooth rendered plaster and painted heritage white;
  • reduce the wall at the front of the site (except the existing pillars) to 1000mm and;
  • plant a hawthorn/natural species hedge immediately behind the roadside wall.
