Information Notice - MOT and practical driving tests at the Belfast test centre

Tuesday, 13 May 2008

The Driver and Vehicle Agency (DVA) wishes to advise customers travelling to the Belfast Test Centre located at Balmoral Road, off Boucher Road, to allow extra travelling time this week

There is a considerable increase in traffic in the area as a result of the Balmoral Show and customers should ensure that they arrive in good time for the appointed test.

Customers with MOT tests are reminded that, as stated in the confirmation of appointment letter, they are requested to arrive at the allocated lane at the test centre 10 minutes before the appointed test time.

If a candidate for a driving test arrives late, and DVA considers the full driving test cannot be conducted in the time period left available, the driving test will not proceed.

The Agency has made some provision by allocating additional resources at Belfast Centre this week to accommodate customers where possible however there is no guarantee of tests for late arrivals.
