Get answers to your theory and driving test questions on nidirect

Monday, 20 September 2010

Are you or someone you know learning to drive?

Members of the public who have questions about doing theory or driving tests can submit a question to a special hour-long webchat on nidirect

The Driver & Vehicle Agency (DVA) has teamed up with nidirect to answer individual questions about various aspects of the driver testing process. Officials from DVA will compile responses, which will be posted on nidirect on Thursday 23 September from 2.30pm.

Some things that you might like to know include:

  • when should you start thinking about doing the theory test?
  • what’s involved in the hazard perception test?
  • how many questions have you to get right to pass?
  • when do you know you’re ready to do the driving test?
  • what do you need to bring with you for the driving test?
  • who’s allowed to accompany you when you’re doing the driving test?

A DVA spokeswoman said: “The Agency is delighted to be involved in the first Department of the Environment (DOE) webchat. We hope the public will take advantage of this new channel of communication to seek answers to their queries relating to the theory and practical driving tests.”

To submit a question for the webchat, email nidirect names, email addresses and any other personal details from enquirers will not be published and they will not be used for any other purpose.
