Kennedy announces the start of £58,000 culvert replacement works in Killyleagh

Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy announced the start of a 58,000 culvert replacement scheme in Toye, Killyleagh.
Thursday, 14 February 2013

The work on the U 380/2 Ringdufferin Road, Ballymacromwell, Toye, between houses numbered 8-16, is due to begin on Monday 25 February 2013.

The Minister said: “This work will strengthen the carriageway infrastructure and provide adequate drainage.”

To help minimise any inconvenience to the travelling public and local businesses the work is programmed to be completed using a temporary road closure.

An alternative route will be via Ringdufferin Road, Comber Road and Ballymorran Road.

The scheme is expected to be completed on Friday 15 March 2013. The planned dates are subject to favourable weather conditions and Roads Service will keep the public informed of any change.

Roads Service has carefully programmed the works operations and traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public, however motorists should be aware that some delays may be expected and that additional time should be allowed when planning any journeys.
