Resurfacing Works At The Dromore Road Junction, Hillsborough

Motorists travelling between Newry and Lisburn are warned of possible delays this weekend as resurfacing works take place on the main A1 dual carriageway road.

From 23.00hrs on Friday 20 November to 06.00hrs on 23 Monday , resurfacing works will happen on the main A1 Dual carriageway at the newly constructed bridge at the Dromore Road Junction. The works will extend from the Moira Road to the Glen Road.

Local diversions will be in place for traffic using the Dromore Road, Old Dromore Road, Ballygowan Road, Glen Road and Moira Road. The main Hillsborough roundabout will be available to traffic.

One lane in each direction of the A1 will remain open under contra-flow traffic management arrangements.

Motorists travelling between Newry and Lisburn are advised to leave extra time for their journeys and may wish to use an alternative route via Banbridge - Donacloney - Magheralin - Moira - Lisburn.
