Two convicted of Benefit Fraud at Belfast Court
Wednesday, 14 April 2010Two people were convicted at Belfast Magistrates' Court yesterday for claiming benefits they were not entitled to.
A Belfast man was given 180 hours community service and ordered to pay £74 court costs for duplicate encashment of Income Support and Social Fund totalling £814.
A Belfast woman (30) was given a £250 fine for failure to declare employment while claiming Income Support totalling £4,917.
Both are also required to repay the money they wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
