Brookeborough man convicted of benefit fraud

A man was convicted at Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court yesterday for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.

He claimed Jobseekers Allowance and Income Support totalling £12,988 while failing to declare capital. He was given four months imprisonment suspended for two years and ordered to pay £49 court costs.

He will also have to repay the money he wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
