Man convicted of benefit fraud at Bangor Court

A man was convicted at Bangor Magistrates’ court today for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.

He failed to declare employment while claiming Incapacity Benefit and Housing Benefit totalling £2,862. He was fined £750 and ordered to pay court costs of £43.

He is also required to repay the money he wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
