Ballymena woman convicted of benefit fraud

A woman was convicted at Ballymena Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.

The woman from Shankbridge was given a two year conditional discharge for failure to declare capital while claiming Income Support totalling £5,324.

She is also required to repay the money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
