Magherafelt woman convicted of benefit fraud
Wednesday, 18 August 2010A woman was convicted at Magherafelt Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.
The Magherafelt woman was given 3 years imprisonment, suspended for 2 years and ordered to pay court costs of £52 for failure to declare employment while claiming Income Support totalling £9,466.
She is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
