Dungannon man convicted of benefit fraud
Wednesday, 9 December 2009A man was convicted at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court yesterday for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.
The man claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £25,866 while failing to declare capital. He was given a two year conditional discharge.
He will also have to repay the money he wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
This brings to 418 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
