Woman convicted of benefit fraud at Craigavon Court
Monday, 21 December 2009A woman was convicted at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.
A woman was given one month imprisonment suspended for two years and ordered to pay £76 costs for wrongful encashment of Income Support totalling £376.52.
She is also required to repay the money she wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
This brings to 445 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
