Social Security Agency gets confiscation order against Enniskillen man

The Social Security Agency Financial Investigation Unit obtained a Confiscation Order to the value of £30,811.23 against John McGrath of Scarden Road, Enniskillen at Enniskillen Crown Court yesterday.

On 19 October 2007, the defendant had been found guilty of committing social security offences and sentenced to a six month custodial sentence suspended for 18 months.

At yesterday's confiscation hearing, the Court agreed that the defendant’s benefit from his criminal conduct amounted to £30,811.23 and granted a Confiscation Order in the same amount. The defendant was ordered to repay within six months.
