Derrylin man convicted of benefit fraud
Thursday, 11 February 2010A man was convicted at Enniskillen Magistrates' court yesterday for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.
The man claimed Jobseekers Allowance totalling £5,887 while failing to declare capital. He was given a two year conditional discharge and ordered to pay court costs of £37.
He will also have to repay the money he wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
This brings to 64 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
