Belfast woman convicted of benefit fraud
Monday, 25 January 2010A woman was convicted at Belfast Crown Court last Friday for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.
She failed to declare employment while claiming Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £28,814. She was given 200 hours community service.
She is also required to repay the money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
This brings to 31 the total number of successful prosecution this year.
