Woman convicted of benefit fraud at Coleraine Court

A woman was convicted at Coleraine Magistrates’ Court for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.

The Ballymoney woman failed to declare capital while claiming Income Support and Rates Rebate totalling £16,140. She was given a £300 fine and ordered to pay £70 court costs.

She was granted a compensation order for £16,140.
