Ballymoney man convicted of benefit fraud

A man was convicted at Coleraine Magistrates' Court today for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.

The Ballymoney man (50) was fined £200 and ordered to pay court costs of £28 for failing to declare income while claiming Housing Benefit totalling £16,910.

He is also required to repay any outstanding money obtained to the Social Security Agency.
