Londonderry woman convicted of benefit fraud
A woman was convicted at Londonderry Magistrates' Court yesterday for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.

The Londonderry woman (47) was given two months imprisonment suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay court costs of £67 for failing to declare employment while claiming Income Support, Carers Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £12,217.
She is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
