Warrenpoint man convicted of benefit fraud

A man was convicted at Newry Magistrates' Court today for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.

The Warrenpoint man was fined £100 and ordered to pay court costs of £22 for wrongful encashment of Job Seekers Allowance totalling £266.

He is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
