Bangor woman convicted of benefit fraud

A woman was convicted at Bangor Magistrates’ court yesterday for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.

A  Bangor woman claimed Income Support totalling £9,546 while failing to declare capital. She was fined £300 and ordered to pay court costs of £68.

She has repaid in full the money she wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
