Cookstown woman convicted of benefit fraud

A woman has been convicted at Dungannon Magistrates Court yesterday for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.

The woman worked while claiming Income Support, Jobseekers Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £7,942. She was given two months imprisonment suspended for three years, a £250 fine and ordered to pay £55 court costs

This brings to 369 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
