£10,000 Confiscation Order granted against Cookstown woman
Thursday, 29 October 2009The Social Security Agency Financial Investigation Unit today obtained a Confiscation Order to the value of £10,000 against a woman at Dungannon Crown Court.
On 9 September 2008 the defendent pleaded guilty to failing to declare that she was living with a partner. The defendant had received £21,936.30 in benefits she was not entitled to over a three year period.
At the confiscation hearing the Court granted a Confiscation Order in amount of £10,000 with the balance of the monies due to be recovered in line with normal recovery procedures.
