Ballycastle woman convicted of benefit fraud
Friday, 4 September 2009A woman was convicted at Coleraine Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.
She was given a £250 fine for failing to declare work while claiming Incomes Support and Rates totalling £12,993.
The woman is required by the Social Security Agency to repay the money she wrongfully obtained.
This brings to 295 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
