Ballymena woman convicted of benefit fraud

A woman was convicted at Antrim Magistrates' Court today for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.

The Ballymena woman (55) claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £6,840 while failing to declare capital. She was given a conditional discharge for two years.

She is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
