Londonderry woman convicted of benefit fraud

A woman was convicted at Belfast Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.

A Londonderry woman (33) was given a two year conditional discharge and ordered to pay court costs of £46 for failure to declare employment while claiming Income Support totalling £5,817.

She is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
