Elections to the Northern Ireland Assembly - Guidance on conduct for civil servants and special advisers
The following document provides guidance to civil servants and special advisers on their role and conduct during the forthcoming Northern Ireland Assembly election campaign.
In particular, the guidance covers the formal election period, which commences with publication of notice of the election on Friday 25 March 2011 and ends with the poll on Thursday 5 May 2011.
The guidance also applies to staff in agencies and to civil servants who are on secondment to other bodies.
Information is also given about arrangements being put in place to consider the application of this guidance to particular cases in the event of any uncertainty which may arise.
