Ballykelly man convicted of benefit fraud

A man was convicted at Limavady Magistrates’ court today for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.

Christopher McGill (49) of Churchill Road, Ballykelly was given 240 hours community service and ordered to pay court costs of £28 for wrongful encashment of Jobseekers Allowance totalling £527.

He will also have to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
