Omagh woman convicted of benefit fraud
A woman was convicted at Omagh Magistrates’ court yesterday for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.

Nuala McColgan (44) of Meelmore Drive, Omagh claimed Jobseekers Allowance and Income Support totalling £13,244 while failing to declare employment. She was given a two month prison sentence.
Ms McColgan’s defence solicitor appealed this sentence and the customer is currently out on bail pending an appeal hearing.
She will also have to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
