The ten week consultation will gather the views of the public on proposals for a victims and survivors service. The new comprehensive service aims to be responsive to the needs of both individual victims and those groups that work with victims and survivors.
The First Minister said: “This consultation marks an important step on the road to providing a service that meets the needs of victims and survivors.
“The Executive is committed to establishing an exceptional service for those most affected by our past and to support that service with unprecedented levels of funding.”
The deputy First Minister said: “I would call on anyone with an interest in this area to participate in this consultation. Your views and reflections on our proposals are vital to its success.
“It is only by engaging with the public that we can hope to provide a dynamic service that meets the needs of victims and survivors.”
