The Interim Report of the Better Regulation and Simplification Review has been published by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) and the Department of the Environment (DoE).
The aim of the Review is to improve the way in which DARD and DoE regulate the agri-food sector so that the administrative burden placed on business is reduced.
The Interim Report describes how the Review has progressed since it was launched last November identifies some emerging findings, and outlines work that remains to be completed by the independent review panel and project team. A final report with recommendations for simplifying regulations is expected later this year.
The Review panel consists of Mr Michael Dowling (Chair), Mr David Graham and Dr Brian Jack.
