During her visit, the minister saw at first hand the support available to new food processing businesses and met with CAFRE staff, members of the centre's Advisory Board and owner managers from businesses located at the centre.
Touring the centre, the minister said: “This facility is a credit to everyone involved in its development over the last decade and I have no doubt in its future potential in years to come. I commend the businesses here for their energy, enthusiasm and innovation in developing their business and food products to meet the needs of increasingly global consumers, not only in Ireland and Britain but across Europe and beyond.
“I am also very proud of the Centre’s unique facilities and CAFRE’s support for businesses through the FBIC and I wish everyone at the centre every success in the future.”
