Gildernew meets young farmers

Agriculture and Rural Development Minister, Michelle Gildernew MP, MLA, has met with the President and representatives of the Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster (YFCU).

During the meeting the YFCU highlighted a number of issues facing its members and outlined a range of new developments that they will undertake in the coming year.

Following the meeting, the Minister said: “Young people make a valuable contribution to rural society and are key stakeholders in its future.

“Development and growth of young people is at the heart of the YFCU. It is making a significant contribution providing rural youth with an opportunity to make their voices heard and take action. I commend their interest, dedication and commitment to shaping the future of the agriculture industry and wider rural community.”
