These appointments are for the employers’ and employees’ representatives.
The six members appointed by the Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU) to represent agricultural employers are:
Mr C Cleland; Ballynahinch, Co. Down
Mr T Douglas, Dungannon, Co Tyrone;
Mr W Mayne, Cookstown, Co Tyrone;
(Also a member of the Southern Education and Library Board – remuneration £29.05 per meeting);
Mr C Osborne, Secretary, Dairy Policy Committee, UFU HQ, Belfast;
Mr R Lyttle, Newtownards, Co Down; and
Mr R McCloy, Limavady, Co Derry.
Mr C Cleland and Mr C Osborne have joined the AWB for the first time. The other four representatives have been re-appointed.
The six members appointed by the Amalgamated Transport and General Workers’ Union (AT&GWU) to represent agricultural employees are:
Mr G Scott, Derry City;
Mr S McAllister, Warrenpoint, Co Down;
Mr M Smith, Portadown. Co Armagh;
Mr A Smith, Moygashel, Co Tyrone;
Mr P Devine, Omagh, Co. Tyrone; and
Mr R Corbett, Cookstown, Co. Tyrone.
Mr R Corbett and Mr P Devine have joined the AWB for the first time. The other four representatives have been re-appointed.
All of the above appointments are effective until 31 March 2011. Other public appointments held by members (and remuneration, where paid) are shown in brackets below an individual’s name.

- The Agricultural Wages Board for Northern Ireland is constituted under the Agricultural Wages (Regulation) (Northern Ireland) Order 1977 and meets each year to consider changes to the rates of pay and related conditions for agricultural workers.
