10 November 2008 - Farmer Convicted at Dungannon Court

Mr William Wilson, Findermore Road, Clogher, Co Tyrone was convicted at Dungannon Magistrates Court on Friday 7 November 2008.

He was convicted of two charges under the Cattle Identification (Notification of Births, Deaths and Movements) Regulations (NI) 1999 and two charges under the Brucellosis Control Order (NI) 2004.

Mr Wilson pleaded guilty and was fined £2,500 plus £10 costs.

Mr Wilson was convicted of two charges of providing false information under the Cattle Identification (Notification of Births, Deaths and Movements) Regulations (NI) 1999, contrary to Regulation 5(2) of the Cattle Identification (Notification of Births, Deaths and Movements) Regulations (NI) 1999
  2. Mr Wilson was also convicted of two charges of failing to isolate an animal, in contravention of Article 8(2)(c) of the Brucellosis Control Order( NI) 2004, contrary to Article 51(1) of the Diseases of Animals (NI) Order1981.
