The CTSC delivers support and education to members of the travelling community and their children in the Craigavon and Portadown area.
Speaking after the meeting, the Minister said: “Every child deserves a fair chance and I am determined that no child in the North of Ireland is overlooked or ignored in their provision of education. The travelling community is one of the most disadvantaged communities and it is essential we address this. Children from the travelling community are equally entitled to the same educational services as those children from the settled community.
“I am impressed by the educational programmes the CTSC offer for all age groups. The advice and assistance they provide for parents is essential to ensure their children receive the best education possible."
