The Department of Education is holding public equality consultations on three draft documents in relation to education specific functions: the Programme for Government, the Investment Strategy and the Budget.
The department welcomes the views from all individuals, organisations and equality groups. The Department would especially welcome input from people with disabilities, women and under represented groups.
The dates and locations of the consultations are:
- Armagh City Hotel, Armagh 7 January 1030 – 1230
- The Spires Centre, Belfast, 7 January 1430 – 1630
- The City Hotel, Derry 8 January 1130 – 1330
The department will also welcome comments in writing, by email and by telephone. It will also, on request, meet with interested groups.
The consultation will run until 16 January 2008 and at the end of this period copies of all comments received will be published on the department’s website.
