Education Minister, Caitríona Ruane, has turned down a development proposal for Straidhavern Primary School to acquire integrated status.
Announcing her decision, the Minister said: "Each proposal for transformation to integrated status is considered carefully, based on all the information available. The school’s enrolment has fluctuated considerably in recent years, given its strong dependence on children from the nearby British Army Aldergrove base. I have reservations over the prospects for a successful sustainable transformation in these circumstances.”
